The Awards Show
Awards shows are not just about recognizing top performance last year, they are about motivating even stronger performance this year. So when we do an awards show, our goal is to make the big winners feel like rock stars and get everyone in the room to decide that they will be up on that stage next year.
Whether we're pulling only from our Core Material or delivering one of our Awards Show packages, we work with the planner to seamlessly integrate what we're doing into the larger event.
Each Award Show is different, but here is an illustration of what we can do.
- Open with a roof-raising original number called “This is the Night!” customized to the event and the audience.
- Write and deliver mini-tribute songs to introduce the big winners bringing them onto a stage filled with the energy and excitement of live performance (each between 50 seconds and 1 minute).
- Provide up beat keyboard music while all winners cross to the stage.
- Close with a rock anthem style finale featuring lyrics written specially for the entire group of winners or the audience.
As with all our material the approach is celebratory, completely appropriate, and always funny. If you’d like, we can also weave in short sets of material from our act to infuse even more entertainment throughout the evening. It’s completely up to you. Of course, a video of a personalized musical tribute delivered by Broadway singer / comics is a one-of-a-kind takeaway for the winners.
